Madison Black Business Expo covered by local media outlets

Madison College is hosting the Heymiss Progress Black Expo this Saturday, July 22, at the Truax Campus. The expo, which was recently featured in the Wisconsin State Journal and on Channel 27, will include a job fair.

State Journal covers DTEC redevelopment

The Wisconsin State Journal is reporting that the Wisconsin Technical College System Board has unanimously approved the concept to convert Madison College’s Downtown Campus into a hotel and office/retail space.

The story was just posted online and is expected to be in Friday’s paper.

Journalism student's article featured in Isthmus

Madison College Journalism student Rachel Sanders' in-depth story, "Opportunity to shine," appeared in Isthmus this week. She worked on the story as part of her final investigative journalism project in spring 2017.

The story features Madison College instructors Ken Walz, Cris Folk and Joel Shoemaker.

Here’s a neat deal. If you live in Fitchburg and want to be a firefighter, the city is offering to pay your tuition at Madison College. The story aired on Channel 15/CW Wednesday night.

Dr. Lazzara discusses iceberg break-off in live interview

Weather and Climate instructor Matthew Lazzara interviewed live with Wisconsin Public Radio on that massive iceberg that broke off in Antarctica. 

Dr. Lazzara is the principal investigator of the Antarctic Automatic Weather Station Program.

In Business Magazine reports college's solar energy project

This month’s In Business Magazine includes a story about Madison College’s plan to install the state’s largest rooftop solar system. The system is expected to save the college $200,000 a year in electricity costs.
