Trustee Ananda Mirilli takes on additional role

Madison College District Board Trustee Ananda Mirilli is the new president of the Latino Education Council.

Mirilli told Madison365 that she’s “looking forward to working with local Dane County officials in the education system to enhance our Latino youths and their families’ experiences.”

Community College Entrepreneurship highlights Madison College

Provost Turina Bakken, Associate Vice President Bryan Woodhouse and Small Business Entrepreneurship instructor Jill Huizenga were interviewed for a story in the fall/winter issue of Community College Entrepreneurship that highlights the college’s efforts to increase entrepreneurship in the district. Channel 3 stopped by the Truax Campus Wednesday morning for a story about the college’s Early STEM Academy partnership with the Madison Metropolitan School District. The dual enrollment program is designed to get more high school students interested in STEM careers.
