Tim Twohill talks with Channel 3 about challenged novel

English instructor Tim Twohill was interviewed by Channel 3 to discuss "To Kill a Mockingbird" in light of its recent controversy at Monona Grove high school.

Two parents requested the book's removal from the school’s curriculum due to its frequent use of racial slurs and discriminatory nature. Twohill explained the history and themes within the novel in an interview that aired at 6 p.m. on January 19.

Portage Mayor speaks highly of Madison College

Portage Mayor Rick Dodd had some good things to say about Madison College during a recent listening session. The mayor says the college’s manufacturing training program will help boost the skills of the local workforce. His comments were posted in the Portage Daily Register.

President Daniels, Steve Goldberg discuss South Campus

The Capital City Hues recently interviewed President Daniels regarding the new South Campus Initiative, which must raise $3.5 million by March 31, 2018 to qualify for a $3.5 million gift from Great Lakes Higher Ed Corp.

This past weekend, President Daniels and Gift Development Specialist Steve Goldberg discussed the new South Campus during a radio interview with Carol Koby. The interview aired Saturday, Jan. 13, on both 1550 AM and 97.7 FM in the Madison area.
