Law Enforcement grad receives recognition

A Madison College alum was recently honored by Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton as a “community builder.” Lucas Killick graduated with a law enforcement degree and is now a detective with the Lake Delton Police Department. He has played a big role in the community’s “Kops for Kids” program. Killick’s story was highlighted in the Wisconsin Dells Event.

Never Forget Blood Drive gains media attention

Channel 15 did live reports from the college’s Protective Services Center this morning to promote the 9/11 Never Forget Blood Drive. Channel 3 also mentioned the blood drive this morning.

Industrial maintenance careers are topic of State Journal article

Columbus Journal editor returns to college

The editor of the Columbus Journal is quiting her job and heading back to college. Lisa Cestkowski has enrolled in the marketing program at Madison College. She recently wrote about her career change in the paper.

Dr. Sheppard talks topics involving Hurricane Harvey

Political science instructor Maurice Sheppard did a live studio interview with Wisconsin Public Radio. Dr. Sheppard talked about a variety of topics, including DACA and the politics surrounding Hurricane Harvey.

Coach Breneman joins Hall of Fame

The Wisconsin State Journal posted a story about Madison College’s Gary “Big Dog” Breneman being inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Big Dog has been the men’s basketball manager for more than 40 years.

South Campus Initiative receives more news coverage

The Wisconsin State Journal reported the college's plans to demolish the state office building that currently sits at the future home of the South Campus. The Madison College District Board will vote on the matter Wednesday, Sept. 6. Meanwhile, Community College Daily and WIBA Radio are the latest to post stories about the South Campus.
