TV, radio stations report on solar panel project

Work has begun on Madison College’s $2.3 million solar energy system. Once fully installed, it will be the largest rooftop photovoltaic system in Wisconsin. The project is expected to save the college more than $200,000 a year in electricity costs. Madison College’s  Dr. Ken Walz did interviews Wednesday, June 13 about the solar project with Channel 3 (1:06 on timeline), Channel 15 (:28 on timeline), Channel 27 and Wisconsin Radio Network.

President Daniels is doing a live interview with WIBA Radio at 7:30 a.m. Monday, June 11 to talk about the new South Campus and the groundbreaking ceremony later in the day.

Battered Bucky is back

Remember the Bucky “Sunburst’ statue that someone unfortunately vandalized at James Madison Park? Well, he’s back. The artist repaired him in a warehouse at Madison College. Channel 3 and Channel 47 aired stories about the repair work. You can see all the Buckys (including Madison College’s Bot and Grow) at Bucky on Parade.
