Dr. Daniels joins panel of Idea Fest speakers

President Daniels has joined the list of Madison College speakers for this weekend’s Cap Times Idea Fest. He’s on a panel that will discuss how Wisconsin might thrive economically. Architectural Technology instructor Michael Ford and chef Paul Short are also speaking at the event. There’s an insert in today’s Cap Times with a rundown of all the speakers and topics.

College renames Health Simulation Center, receives news coverage

The Wisconsin State Journal posted a story about the college’s plans to rename the Health Simulation Center after former Gov. Tommy Thompson. A ceremony will take place Friday afternoon at the Health Education Building.

News outlets report firefighter training

Madison College is teaming up with the Sun Prairie Fire Department to help train students from Prairie Phoenix Academy on how to become licensed firefighters. The Wisconsin State Journal and Channel 15 stopped by the Protective Services Center today to check out the training. Department chair Dillon Gavinski and instructor Lisa Becher were interviewed by the media. We’re told both stories are expected to run on Monday. We’ll keep you updated.
