Downtown Campus redevelopment project lands front page of State Journal

The Wisconsin State Journal ran a front page story in Sunday’s paper about Hovde Properties pulling out from the Downtown campus redevelopment project. 

Business partner Drury Southwest will continue with its plan to build a hotel at the site and will work with the college to develop the rest of the building.

Dean, instructor share employment data with State Journal

Dean Denise Reimer and instructor John Stephany provided employment data and other information to the Wisconsin State Journal for its “Shifting Careers” story on the construction industry. This is the third time the college has been included in the series. The other two stories were about CNC machining and industrial maintenance.

State Journal showcases LEGO competition at Truax

Saturday’s FIRST LEGO League competition at the Truax campus was covered by the Wisconsin State Journal. Kids got to show off their programming, engineering and problem-solving skills. Instructor Ben Senson was interviewed for the story.

New outlets report on college's Veterans Day event

Channel 3Channel 27 and Channel 47 covered the Veterans Day event at the Truax campus, on Friday, Nov. 10. The event was sponsored by the Native American Student Association.

Madison College donates equipment, helps inmates learn to weld

Madison College is loaning welding equipment to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections to help inmates learn a trade. Channel 3 and Fox 47 covered the announcement at the Truax Campus.
