Each month Madison College welcomes award-winning local and regional chefs to the Truax Campus Demonstration Kitchen. The Chef Series is hosted by Kyle Cherek of "Wisconsin Foodie" on Wisconsin Public Television and sponsored by the Vollrath Company, producer of commercial food service equipment and supplies.
In case you missed previous events, visit YouTube for video of Chef Justin Carlisle, owner of Milwaukee's Ardent, and Chef Heather Terhune, executive chef of Tre Rivali and The Outsider in Milwaukee. Carlisle, a graduate of Madison College’s Culinary Arts degree program, was nominated for the James Beard Award Best Chef in the Midwest for the past four years.
A graduate of the New England Culinary Institute, Terhune began her career in Washington, D.C. at The Willard Hotel. She also worked at Jean Louis restaurant at The Watergate Hotel and Pop's Trattoria in North Carolina. Other positions took her to kitchens in Chicago and San Francisco. Terhune appeared on the Top Chef television program.
The next live Chef Series program will be Thursday, Jan. 24 featuring Pierre Zimmerman, owner of La Fournette, a wholesale and retail bakery in Chicago. The event begins with beverages and appetizers at 5:30 p.m. Reserve tickets here.
