Heather Terhune, executive chef of Milwaukee's Tre Rivali and The Outsider restaurants, will be the guest for Madison College's Chef Series, Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 6-8 p.m. The series is sponsored by the Volrath Company and hosted by Kyle Cherek host of Wisconsin Foodie.
Terhune grew up enjoying the natural bounty of Vermont where her family hunted, fished, gardened, tapped trees for maple syrup and even raised pigs. A graduate of the New England Culinary Institute, Terhune began her career in Washington, D.C. at The Willard Hotel. She also worked at Jean Louis restaurant at The Watergate Hotel and Pop's Trattoria in North Carolina. Other positions took her to kitchens in Chicago and San Francisco. Now she enjoys gathering ingredients from Wisconsin farms.
Terhune will share her climb up the culinary ladder and demonstrate some of her French techiques in Madison College's demonstration kitchen at the Truax Campus at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite.
