Local restauranteur shares his story for Chef Series

The Center for Entrepreneurship will present "I'm not a Businessman, I'm a Business, Man," at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 29, in the Truax campus demonstration kitchen. Chef Gilbert Altschul, owner of Grandpa's Pizzeria, Gibs Bar, Porter Coffee House and Bandit Taqueria, will share the story of his culinary career.

A Madison native and graduate of the Scottsdale Culinary Institute, Altschul is currently revitalizing the train station on West Washington Avenue. His family has a long restaurant history in Madison. Attendees will enjoy a generous sampling of Chef Gil’s latest creations from one of his award-winning restaurants.

Cost to attend the event is $25 and tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite. Madison College students may attend free of charge.
