At a news conference Monday, Aug. 28, Madison College revealed that its new South Campus will be located at the intersection of Badger Road and Park Street in Madison.
The college also announced that $11.3 million in contributions from the Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Foundation and the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation will cover costs associated with Phase One of the project. The first phase includes the purchase of property and development of the a facility that will house learning spaces and student support services, plus science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education that will allow students, particularly those from the Madison Metropolitan School District, to earn college credits while earning their high school diploma.
Fundraising efforts are underway for Phase Two of the project, which will which will consist of an expansion of the complex to include enhanced services, additional classrooms and community space.
