Bright Future

The future’s so bright for Madison College welding program graduates that they’ll need to wear more than just shades.

The latest data from Economic Modeling Specialist International says welding jobs will increase 6.5 percent during the next seven years and wages will jump to more than $20 an hour. Tag along to a recent welding open house at the Truax campus.

A group of students from the International Business School in Denmark recently visited Madison College to learn more about the school, Wisconsin and some of the state’s successful businesses. But when it came time for a team building exercise, students were surprised when they were told to put away their books and put on an apron.
