Beginning Monday, August 26, 2019, a new system goes into effect that impacts student parking at all Madison College campuses in the City of Madison. Students will no longer need to obtain a permit from the Public Safety Office to park their vehicle on campus.

On the Madison College website, students will find a tab for registering their vehicle information at https://madisoncollege.edu/parking.

Instructions are listed on the web page. A new parking map is available for students to find designated parking areas.

*Please check the map to find the designated general parking lots for students on the Truax Campus.

Additional change at Truax Campus:

  • 250 new stalls have been added for the fall 2019 semester in the old tennis courts off of Wright and Straubel streets. This is lot K2 on the map.

(Note: The City of Madison will begin construction on Straubel Street the first week of the fall semester. Parking lots K1, K2 and the overflow lot will still be accessible during construction.)

Parking enforcement changes for all campuses:

  • A dedicated parking enforcement officer will issue citations for improperly parked student vehicles.
  • Students must park in a marked stall and not along curbs or on the grass.
  • Unpaid citations are subject to registration suspension through the Traffic Violation and Registration Program (TVRP) from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
