Who makes Madison College life better?

As you may have heard, Convocation has become College Community Days-- a series of engagement and professional development opportunities for employees throughout the year.

Ahead of our time together at the end of August, the College Community Days Team encourages you to participate in a creative staff engagement activity. We invite you to share a brief shout-out about someone here at the college who inspires you with their daily engagement with students, staff and/or faculty, by answering the following question:

“What Madison College employee makes your work life better and why?”

We want to capture this acknowledgement in a fun way, so we are asking that you create a short video using Flipgrid, following the directions below. We will collect video shout-outs from across all campuses and show highlights during the Mitby Theater presentation on the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 27. A collection of all recordings will be available for additional viewing following College Community Days.

A laptop or mobile device is all you need to make this short video. If you’re at Truax, you’re welcome to use equipment provided in CETL room 2208C to record a message. If you’re at a regional or non-Truax metro campus, please feel free to use the iPad sent by CETL to your campus manager.

The details and steps to create the video are below:

  • No need to create an account to access the College Community Days Grid
  • Our team has provided you with the Flip Code: a31e5c08
  • Enter this code on the Flipgrid app or at flipgrid.com

On the College Community Days Grid, select the topic: “Recognizing Workplace Rockstars” and click green plus. From the topic page, record your message in three easy steps. Those steps are:

  • Record a video - flip the camera and pause while recording
  • Review or Edit the video - trim, add more, or include a video title
  • Take a selfie - customize the image to add style

Please contribute by end of day: Monday, Aug. 19.
