As part of College Community Days (formerly Convocation), a college-wide community service day will be held, Wednesday, Aug. 27 between 12:30 p.m-4 (specific times vary by opportunity). There are opportunities for 200 volunteers. This is a great way for employees to support the communities where our students and families live and work.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Community school volunteer, Leopold Elementary School
  • Clothing Center Volunteer, Community Action Coalition
  • Food bank volunteer, Second Harvest Food Bank
  • Reading project volunteer, Madison Reading Project
  • Brush removal, UW Arboretum
  • Community garden volunteer (outdoor), East Madison Community Center
  • Farm and garden work (outdoor), Troy Community Farm

For more information and to sign up for a volunteer opportunity, please visit the College Community Days site  and click the Volunteer! button.

For those who cannot volunteer in August, there will be another opportunity during October College Community Days. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
