Vice President of Student Affairs announces changes in department

FROM:  Howard Spearman, Ph.D., Vice President of Student Affairs

RE:         Student Affairs Positions Update

In January, Dr. Casper shared several transitions in Student Affairs due to Lori Sebranek’s retirement; however, recently Lori has decided to delay her retirement through June 30, 2020 to further the college’s effort to implement processes and solutions which support the CT3 grant.

Effective Wednesday, May 1st, Lori Sebranek will be transitioning to a new role within the CT3 Project Team reporting to Emily Sanders. Lori will serve as an LTE –Functional Process Design and Implementation Manager. Lori has over 30 years of tenure with Madison College and she has a vast amount of systems based expertise, which we will continue to utilize for CARES Title III work.

Additionally, the following moves will take place effective May 1:

  • Bill Dougherty will be transitioning from Associate Registrar to Registrar in an interim role through 6/30/20.
  • Laurie Beardsley will be transitioning from Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs to Associate Registrar in an interim role through 6/30/20.
  • Beth Eggemeier will be transitioning from Administrative Planner to Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs in an interim role through 6/30/20.
  • Strategic Student Solutions will report to the Vice President of Student Affairs.
  • The HUB will report to the Vice President of Student Affairs with a commitment to strong integration with academics via Provost Bakken and Executive Dean Denise Reimer.

Please join me in welcoming each of them to their new roles.
