Alumni chosen for Cisco Dream team

For the past three years, Cisco Networking Academy has chosen 10 students from around the country to join the Cisco Live Dream Team to intern, helping with set-up for the Cisco annual conference. For the past two years, they have selected a student from Madison College.

For the fourth year of the Dream Team, Cisco chose Madison College alumnus Matt Minus to be the Alumni team lead for Dream Team. The team consists of national and local students and instructors who were chosen from more than 80 applicants. With Minus' addition to this year's team, Madison College has become the only insitution to have sent students to Cisco Live for three years. This year's conference takes place May 18-22 in San Fransico, Calif.

Minus completed the Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) certification and obtained IT-Network Specialist and IT-Network Security Specialist degrees. He now works for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, where he assists with access, surveilance and education networks from Wisconsin state prisons. Minus also served eight years in the United States Marine Corps. He was invited back to Cisco Live after impressing representatives from the company with his exceptional work at last year's conference in Orlando.
