Blood typing to be done on campus Feb. 26

Do you know your blood type? Over 50 percent of the population doesn't.

Blood typing is a method to tell what type of blood people have, so they can safely donate their blood or receive a blood transfusion. It is also important information for anyone in an emergency situation. There are four major blood groups and eight different blood types.

On Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., stop by the Health Education Building to learn "What Your Type Is!" People can learn more about their unique blood and some fun facts and trivia. This event is co-sponsored by the Medical Lab Tech students and Student Health Education.
