Activities scheduled for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Show your support to victims and survivors of sexual violence by participating in a planned activity. 

Thursday, April 6 – Go Teal Day
Wear teal and go teal online. Ribbons are available at the Student Development Center and Welcome Center. Change your social media profile picture or email signature to the teal ribbon icon.

Monday, April 10 – Bystander Intervention Training
10-11:15 a.m.
Health Education Room 311
Learn how to actively prevent incidents before they occur and help keep your friends safe. Madison College Takes ACTION is a program built on national examples of bystander intervention. 

Thursday, April 20 – Sexual Assault 101
12-1 p.m.
Truax Room AB122
This presentation will focus on defining sexual assault and consent as well as understanding the resources available for victims and survivors. 

Wednesday, April 26 – Tabling for Awareness Resource Fair
9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Atrium Café
Stop by the resource fair to learn more about college and community resources available to support those affected by sexual violence.
