The South campus is one of the three involved in the Metro Campus Project. The other campuses being studied are the West and Downtown campuses.

A study is underway to determine the most ideal programs and services for the Madison College Metro campuses, including South, West and Downtown. A series of meetings have been scheduled for early May to review key findings and to seek additional input.

April 21-25, 2014 is Wisconsin's Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week.

College will not participate in statewide tornado drill

On Thursday, April 24, 2014, a statewide tornado drill is planned. All nine Madison College campuses will not be participating in this drill. The College asks that you not be alarmed when the sirens sound, and continue with your planned activates.

The task force works to develop a shared governance structure for Madison College.

The task force is currently working on roles and responsibility for shared governance and how to ensure representation from all campus constituents groups. A progress report will be shared with the Contract Alternative Committee on April 29.

Respondus course held in May

Respondus is a tool used to create and manage exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to Blackboard. The course will be held on Thursday, May 22 and Wednesday, May 28.

Students celebrated Earth Day by cleaning up Unity Park near the Truax campus. Channel 3 and Channel 27 stopped by to get video and talk to students.

The Madison College Pow Wow takes place Saturday, April 26, with opening ceremonies at 1 p.m.

Madison College’s Pow Wow is this Saturday. Spokesperson Nicole Soulier highlighted the annual event during a live studio interview with Channel 27. She wore a beautiful Native American jingle dress and talked about the significance of Saturday’s Pow Wow.
